Summary
By using SettleEase you agree to these terms. The app is provided as-is for personal finance organization. You remain responsible for reviewing AI, OCR, and voice-generated outputs before relying on them. Pro billing is handled through Google Play.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the SettleEase mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- →You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the app
- →You must provide accurate registration information
- →You are responsible for your login credentials and account activity
- →You must comply with applicable law when using the service
3. Description of the service
- →Track personal expenses, budgets, goals, and subscriptions
- →Create and manage shared expense groups and events
- →Scan receipts and attach receipt images or payment proof images
- →Use AI-powered features including the assistant and TaxBot
- →Log expenses by voice using on-device speech recognition
- →Receive notifications for reminders, updates, and support activity
SettleEase is an organizational tool. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.
4. Subscription plans
4.1 Free plan
- →20 TaxBot messages per calendar month
- →3 receipt OCR scans per calendar month
- →Up to 5 active owned groups
- →Voice expense logging not available
4.2 Pro plan
- →Unlimited TaxBot messages
- →Unlimited receipt OCR scans
- →Unlimited active groups
- →Voice expense logging enabled
Pro is sold and billed through the Google Play Store. Google Play terms also apply to your subscription purchase and renewal.
4.3 Billing and renewal
- →Subscription fees are charged by Google Play at the start of each billing period
- →Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play
- →Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period
- →Refunds, where available, are governed by Google Play policies and applicable law
5. User content and data
5.1 Your data
Your finance data remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display it so the service can function.
5.2 Accuracy and review
You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of information you enter and of outputs generated through OCR, voice parsing, AI assistance, or any other automation. Those outputs may be incomplete or wrong.
5.3 Shared visibility
Users you add to shared expenses or groups may see the data required to settle those shared balances. Optional receipt and payment proof images stored in the public receipts bucket are also accessible to anyone who has the direct URL.
6. Acceptable use
- →Do not attempt unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data
- →Do not scrape, exploit, reverse engineer, or abuse the service
- →Do not use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- →Do not try to bypass plan limits or security controls
7. Third-party services
SettleEase relies on third-party providers including Supabase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play, Google Sign-In, and Google Gemini. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or other actions taken by those providers.
AI-assisted features may be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. Always verify important financial information independently.
8. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the app, brand, design, and underlying software are owned by or licensed to us. These terms grant only a limited right to use the app.
9. Disclaimers
- →The app is provided on an as-is and as-available basis
- →We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- →We do not guarantee the accuracy of OCR, voice, or AI-generated outputs
- →We do not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in subscription fees during the prior 12 months, unless law requires otherwise.
11. Suspension and termination
- →We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, fraud, or violations of these terms
- →You may delete your account through the app when eligible to do so
- →Deletion may be blocked until outstanding shared obligations are resolved
12. Changes to the app and terms
Features, limits, and integrations may change over time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the relevant jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
