This help center covers the launch-critical topics people need to understand before using SettleEase: billing, permissions, OCR, support, data export, and account deletion.

Billing and subscriptions

  • SettleEase Pro on Android is managed through Google Play Billing.
  • Use Restore Purchases in the app when you are signed into the same Google account that owns the subscription.
  • Manage renewals and cancellations from Google Play subscriptions.

Permissions and optional features

  • Contacts permission is only needed for contact-based friend discovery.
  • Microphone permission is only needed for voice expense logging.
  • Notification permission is only needed for reminders, updates, and support notifications.
  • Receipt scans, receipt attachments, and payment-proof uploads are optional features you trigger yourself.

Data export and deletion

  • Use the in-app Data & Security or Privacy & Security screens to export your data.
  • Use the in-app deletion flow to request account deletion.
  • Deletion may be blocked until unsettled balances are resolved.

AI and OCR limitations

  • Receipt OCR and TaxBot outputs can be inaccurate.
  • Always review extracted values before relying on them.
