How to delete your account
- Open the Android app and go to Privacy & Security.
- Review the deletion warning and confirm the request in-app.
- If you cannot access the app, contact support from the email address associated with the account.
Deletion prerequisites
- SettleEase may block deletion while you still owe balances or other users are owed money in unsettled groups or adhoc expenses.
- You should export your data before deleting the account if you want a copy.
- Google Play subscriptions should be canceled from Google Play if you no longer want them to renew.
What deletion removes
- SettleEase will attempt to remove or disable access to account data tied directly to your profile.
- Some records may be retained for fraud prevention, dispute handling, billing history, security investigations, or legal compliance.
- Shared financial history may need limited retention where it affects other users or historical settlement integrity.
